Jack's Wife Freda X The Butchers Daughter

Two of the most insta worthy restaurants in NYC over the last few months have to be Jack's Wife Freda and The Butchers Daughter. But not only are these restaurants picturesque, they both reign downtown Manhattan by providing healthy, all-natural fare.
We took full advantage of a holiday weekend to get into Jack's Wife Freda...which totally worked *pats self on back.*
After being sat right away at their Lafayette location, the Ambience immediately intrigued me. It's nothing fancy or overdone, set with clean colors and natural flowers but the small restaurant and tables were certainly filled with vibrancy. I ordered the frequently insta'd green shashuka and a specialty Pimms cocktail. Everything was delicious but I was definitely not as satisfied as my friends who ordered heartier dishes.

The Butcher's Daughter was different than I expected. The West Village location was very small, open and airy. Especially for it being a muggy, rainy afternoon in NYC this was very refreshing.
After waiting a little bit, we were seated and I was definitely very excited.
To be honest, I ordered what ever had the word avocado toast in it because I wanted the overly socialized image of their ah-maz-ing looking toast and well because.. avocado toast. What ended up being eggs benedict avocado toast was delicious BUT not what i was expected and like the newbie I usually am i totally did it wrong. Next time I will bring a counterpart who knows what they're doing. Regardless, everything was great; food, green smoothie, environment. Also, being a vegetarian, this restaurant is a paradise with their limited use of animal products.

In conclusion, both of these restaurants did not disappoint. But I am a only self proclaimed foodie and do not pretend to be a food critic so I dare you to go try out these bad boys yourself!!
I'd love to hear your experiences at either of these places!
